Sadler's Wells East

Sadler's Wells East, one of four cultural partners within the Stratford Waterfront project, is a world leader in contemporary dance. Their new home in East London will support the development of the form, opening new opportunities for a wide range of artists, participants, collaborative partners and audiences.

At Sadler's Wells East, the theatre has been purpose-designed for contemporary dance: a theatre form that does not currently exist at this scale in the UK. It provides new work in differing formats, presented in a simple, conducive space. The choreographic school and Hip-Hop Academy encourages and incubates new work in dance.

Sadler's Wells East is a centre for making, where artists can hone their skills and explore the creative process in new ways, working with Sadlers Wells and the other partners in Stratford.
