Construction for Waikato Regional Theatre is well under way!
20/03/24
The Waikato Regional Theatre, a visionary project led by Momentum Waikato Community Foundation in collaboration with the Hamilton City Council, promises to redefine the city's artistic landscape. With its impressive 1,300-seat capacity and flexible lyric theatre design, it is poised to become a dynamic hub for artistic expression, community engagement, and cultural enrichment.
It has been over 2-years since the construction of the Waikato Regional Theatre officially began with a sod turning ceremony attended by the then Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. It is with great pleasure that we are able to share these pictures from our most recent site visit, which depict just how we've come in these past 2-years. While we are a year away from the theatre's completion, it is incredibly exciting to see the steady development of what will soon be Hamilton's largest and best known theatrical venue.
