Waikato Regional Theatre Sod Turning Ceremony with Special Guest Jacinda Ardern

Construction has kicked off on the Waikato Regional Theatre with the official sod turning, including a visit from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern who captured the excitement of the day most eloquently.

“If Covid has shown us anything, it is how crucial it is for that sense of wellbeing for us to be together, for us to experience the arts, to have an outlet for creativity. And here we will have that.”
