I’m a Design Principal specialising in acoustics, working at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and theatre design. At the heart of my work is a desire to create spaces where sound, experience, and design come together seamlessly, supporting not only function and performance but also emotional connection.I approach projects in a collaborative and holistic way. From my experience, acoustics work best when they’re considered early and developed alongside architectural and technical decisions. I enjoy working closely with multidisciplinary teams, bringing coordination, creativity, and shared problem solving together to turn complex acoustic challenges into clear, creative, and practical solutions.I’m a strong believer in collective effort and shared ownership. As Phil Jackson once said, “The strength of the team is each member. The strength of each member is the team.” That sentiment resonates deeply with how I work. I value the knowledge and perspectives of everyone involved and see open, respectful dialogue as key to achieving the best possible outcomes.Ultimately, what matters most to me is creating spaces that truly serve the people who use them whether performers, audiences, or operators. What Excites You Most About Your Work

What I enjoy most is that moment when ideas on paper turn into something people can actually feel when a space comes to life and supports a performance exactly as it should. Working with sound can be incredibly rewarding because it’s intangible, yet its impact is immediate. Seeing how it shapes an audience’s experience in real time never gets old for me.I’m especially drawn to projects that feel like small gems, spaces that may be modest in scale, but really matter to the communities they serve. I care a lot about making thoughtful, high‑quality design accessible, and I love working with smaller organisations to help bring ambitious ideas to life. Often that means listening carefully, being resourceful, and finding creative ways to work within constraints so the final space still feels generous, welcoming, and meaningful.

What We Won’t Learn from Your CV

I have a strong love for exhibition and libraries. I also enjoy running, which is my form of meditation.One of my long-term personal goals would be to compete in a triathlon.

Our projects are inherently multidisciplinary, and the best outcomes come from architects, engineers, designers, and clients working closely together. I see my role not just as offering acoustic expertise, but as being an active part of a shared vision listening carefully, building on others’ ideas, and helping turn complex requirements into simple solutions.Creativity plays a big role in how I solve problems. While acoustics can sometimes be seen as purely technical, I find that it actually calls for a lot of creative thinking. Every project is different, and I really enjoy finding the right balance between performance, aesthetics, and practical constraints to arrive at solutions that feel tailored and thoughtful.Innovation, for me, is about continuously looking for better ways to design and deliver spaces. That might mean exploring new materials, questioning established approaches, or thinking about how acoustics can be more naturally integrated into the architectural concept from the very beginning. It’s not about innovation for the sake of it, but about improving outcomes and making spaces work better for the people who use them.Ultimately, these values matter to me because they lead to stronger, more meaningful projects.
