Meet the Team

Sahar Hemami

Finance Coordinator

Sahar works in the Business Support Team as a Finance Coordinator, supporting both EMEA and Australia.

I work in the Business Support Team as a Finance Coordinator, supporting both EMEA and Australia. I aim to be ‘practically perfect’ in everything I do, combining this approach with accuracy and punctuality, which are the most essential requirements of my work. Having a positive attitude, being calm under all circumstances and always remaining confident that there’s a solution to be found matters most to me.

What Brought You to Charcoalblue

After completing an MA in Dramatic Literature, I moved to the UK and explored a variety of finance roles. As a theatre enthusiast and a finance professional, I was always looking for a workplace where I could combine my professional skills and my passion for theatre in one place. Charcoalblue felt like the perfect fit—a place where I could contribute meaningfully while staying connected to the creative world I love.

Coffee, Travel, or Creative Ritual

I enjoy writing and narrating short stories in both Persian and English. I also love travelling—exploring new places, food, and traditions—and capturing those experiences through photography and travel writing.

What Are You Learning About Right Now

‘You live a new life for every new language you speak’ is a quote that has always inspired me. I speak Persian, English, and Spanish, and I am currently learning Japanese.

Cultural Value You Most Identify With

Communication and Professional Excellence are the values I most identify with in my role. As a finance coordinator, the data I work with must always be accurate and free from errors, which requires a consistent focus on Professional Excellence and attention to detail. At the same time, my role relies on effective communication. I work closely with colleagues within the finance team, as well as with the wider business, where not everyone may have a financial background. Being able to clearly and confidently communicate financial information in a way that is easy to understand is essential to supporting collaboration and informed decision-making.
