Matt consults on all aspects of theatre design, specialising in audiovisual and stagelighting systems for projects.

At Charcoalblue I act as an audiovisual and stage lighting systems designer, whilst leading teams across our projects. I’m particularly interested in designing efficient, future-proof systems that balance technical performance with operational simplicity . My approach centres around understanding how each building will be used both today and in the future, ensuring any infrastructure enables flexibility, is practical and capable of supporting emerging technologies and changing patterns of usage. I value close collaboration with clients, operators and design teams to develop performing arts buildings that fully support the project brief, with ability to host exceptional audience experiences, whilst contributing positively to the long-term success and longevity of the building.
