A Problem You Love Solving
The problem I love solving is turning messy disconnected project and program information into a clear, actionable plan by finding the “signal” in the noise. I’m drawn to this because it’s the perfect mix of analytical logic and creative empathy—it’s like a high-stakes puzzle where the pieces are always changing.
A Book, Podcast, Building, or Creative Work That Inspires You
Reading Start with Why actually changed the game for me. It shifted how I talk to my team by forcing me to lead with the purpose instead of just dumping a bunch of complex “how-to” steps on them. Now, when I’m explaining a tough concept, I focus on the “why” first, which turns a boring technical hurdle into something that the team actually wants to solve.
Cultural Value That Guides Engagement with Others
I’m big on Collaboration—specifically the belief that a diversity of perspectives is the only way to get a better solution. I know I don’t have the best or only approach to solving something. I’d much rather share a rough, “ugly” draft early and invite everyone to poke holes in it. Charcoalblue’s commitment to collaboration has always shaped my work and it was one of the first things I appreciated about transitioning to this company. I knew that someone had my back when I submitted my drawings for QA or that I can go to anyone on the team to bounce an idea off of them.
