Fred provides finance and administrative support to our team and business units in the Americas.

I have a variety of tasks involving finance, accounting, and admin. I work closely with the finance team, with project principals and BU heads on a range of project-related tasks, and with other departments such as HR, Studio Admin, IT, and Mktg/BD on other subjects like payroll, general admin, payables and receivables, compliance, suppliers, and clients, and so on.I approach my work positively, always, regardless of how difficult and busy it can get. I really like the company culture of multiculturalism, different backgrounds, and being part of a global team.What matters most to me is knowing Charcoalblue is delivering a great service, having a respectful reputation, and seeing our team grow with ambition and respect, while maintaining good energy within the company’s corporate culture. What Brought You to Charcoalblue

I worked for good companies before, but none with the global reach of Charcoalblue. The prospect of seeing the world, experiencing different cultures, and gaining knowledge is very valuable. It opens my eyes to different perspectives, helps me grow, and is very motivating. I also like how Charcoalblue emphasizes work-life balance and encourages people to learn more and grow in order to achieve greater success. Keeping people motivated is a big task, but one that is essential for productivity, creativity, and results.All of these combined are the reasons I decided to join, and why I’m still here.

What We Won’t Learn from Your CV

A CV is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s important to know people’s skills, but not everything about their attitudes. I worked as a manager before and hired people, so I understand the importance of being willing to learn, being proactive, hard-working, and working well with others. I’d say these are my strongest abilities, beyond what’s shown in my CV.

A Book, Podcast, Building, or Creative Work That Inspires You

Book: Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer. It’s about climbers attempting Mount Everest in 1996, when a disaster struck. It shows the limits of human beings and what people are willing to do to achieve something that very few are capable of. They push themselves in extremely dangerous situations, sometimes beyond what is reasonable. It’s an extreme way of understanding human limits and the determination people can have.

Cultural Value That Inspires You to Go the Extra Mile

Professional Excellence, because there are periods when it gets very busy and I work extremely hard to deliver results. I understand the importance of my work and how I need to collaborate with others to achieve success. There are days when I work 12 hours to make sure things are completed. Yes, I could do with some help, but I don’t wait for it or make excuses not to deliver. I stay focused on what needs to be done and make sure I finish it. Going the extra mile for me means being reliable, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure, and ensuring that the quality of my work remains high, even during demanding periods.
