After departing The Cleveland Play House, Richard began his freelance Sound Design career working at many regional theatres and educational institutions throughout the Midwestern United States. During this time Richard branched out into other related areas of theatrical production such as Show Control design and programming working on projects for clients such as Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and The Lincoln Library and Museum in Springfield, IL.
After designing sound for productions at Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, OH, Richard was asked to join their production team as the head of the sound department in 2012. He joined the production team at Great Lakes Theater’s sister company Idaho Shakespeare the following summer in 2013. Richard began his consultant career in 2014 at Westlake Reed Leskosky in their Cleveland, OH office as an Audiovisual Systems Designer.
Richard’s consultancy work for Charcoalblue includes Studio Theatre, Washington DC and The Ronald O. Perelman Center for the Performing Arts at the World Trade Center in New York.
