Our sixth studio opens in Chicago's West Loop

Following the opening of the acclaimed new Yard theatre at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, we're thrilled to announce the opening of their sixth studio in the heart of the city's creative West Loop district.
The studio opens in response to a growing portfolio of projects currently underway in the city and surrounding regions. It will bring our innovative auditorium design, engineering, acoustic and digital design experience to the region's venues, schools and workplaces. The new studio will be lead by Studio Principal Clemeth Abercrombie who is currently on the design team for the redevelopment of Massey Hall in Toronto and the Southern Repertory Theatre in New Orleans and Steppenwolf in the city.
The decision to open a new studio in the city is bolstered by a portfolio of current projects in the region including the recently opened Yard at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Arkansas' TheatreSquared.
Meet our Chicago Studio Principal
Clemeth has more than thirteen years’ experience working in theatre including eleven years as a consultant. He also served as a concert sound engineer, production manager, and stage hand in the central Illinois region with clients including Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and Technotrix.
Clemeth will be responsible for the day to day operations of our new Chicago studio in liaison with the US and UK senior management team. He provides project management and consultancy in all aspects of theatre design.
