On the Ground in Texas: Charcoalblue’s New Associate Directors Building Connection and Community
16/10/25
Charcoalblue’s greatest strength has always been its people. We are delighted to announce the promotion of Bradley Fritz and Nick Correa to Associate Directors. Both exemplify this spirit, combining design leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to community to deliver meaningful projects across Texas and beyond.
Local knowledge with a global perspective
As a global consultancy with studios in the UK, America, and Australia, Charcoalblue’s approach relies on deep, local understanding and connection. Having new leaders like Bradley and Nick based in Texas ensures that clients benefit from both on-the-ground collaboration and access to world-class expertise from across the wider practice.
From educational spaces to cultural venues, Bradley and Nick have shaped projects that leave a lasting impact across the State. Their work ranges from small-scale theatre studies at UT Austin to initiatives enhancing the visitor experience and vision at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, and to historically significant spaces like the Fred Rouse Centre for Community Arts and Healing in Fort Worth- once a meeting place for the KKK and soon to become a thriving hub for community connection. Across historic theatres and contemporary performance spaces alike, they excel at balancing complex design requirements with the needs of multiple stakeholders, ensuring every project serves both people and place.
Bradley Fritz: Leadership, Community, and Human-Centred Design
Bradley approaches every project with a focus on people - the artists, audiences, and communities who bring each space to life. With twelve years of rich experience in both acoustics and theatre consultancy, he understands how performance spaces work on both a technical and a human-centered level, ensuring that design decisions always serve the people who use them.
Deeply connected to the Texas design community, including through his work with the AIA Dallas Board of Directors, Bradley believes that the best ideas come from collaboration and trust, and his ability to bring people together has made him a valued partner across disciplines and projects.
Since joining the AIA Dallas Board in 2018, Bradley has been a strong advocate for inclusion and community engagement. He founded the LGBTQIA+ Alliance within AIA Dallas- the third such initiative in the country- and was awarded the AIA President’s Medal in recognition of his leadership and impact.
Nick Correa: Innovation Through Technology and Collaboration
With over a decade of experience in AV and experience design, Nick has been instrumental in evolving Charcoalblue’s AV and experience design capabilities, integrating technology into storytelling in ways that enhance rather than overshadow. His collaborative leadership style and focus on mentorship have been central to developing the next generation of AV designers within the company.
From immersive performance venues to interactive corporate experiences, Nick’s work demonstrates how intelligent AV integration can bring spaces to life, amplifying emotion, connection, and creativity.
Looking Ahead
As Charcoalblue continues to expand its work across North America, Bradley and Nick stand at the intersection of design, technology, and community- creating spaces that inspire connection and reflect the collaborative spirit at the heart of Charcoalblue.
Congratulations to both Bradley and Nick on their well-deserved promotions to Associate Directors, a recognition of their leadership, creativity, and commitment to the Charcoalblue community.
