Groundbreaking at the Apollo Theater: A Bold New Chapter Begins!

Construction has officially begun at New York’s iconic Apollo Theater, marking the start of a transformational renovation and restoration that will breathe new life into a venue that has long served as a beacon for creativity and cultural expression.

In proud collaboration with Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Flyleaf Creative, we’ll be delivering theatre, AV, acoustics, experience and interior design consultancy to reimagine the Apollo’s historic spaces for the audiences and artists of tomorrow.

The ambitious multi-phase renovation will see major upgrades to the Historic Theater, lobby, and soundstage, including expanded public areas, and revitalized performance environments.

The project will transform both the performer and audience experience, with improved sound quality and acoustic performance in the auditorium, a revitalized cabaret-style performance space in the soundstage, and a transformed lobby space complete with a public café and bar. Every element of the Apollo is being carefully designed to honor its remarkable legacy while shaping its future, including a new interactive storytelling experience for the expanded lobby.

This exciting project is part of the Apollo Rising 2.0 Capital Campaign, supported by generous donors and the Harlem community, and marks the first major renovation of the Historic Theater in more than 40 years.
