Tom consults on all aspects of theatre planning, specialising in stage lighting and associated systems.
Tom has been working in professional stage lighting for 20 years, during this time he has worked as a technician, re-lighter, programmer and associate lighting designer as well as designing his own work in the UK.
Among a variety of roles Tom worked as senior technician at the National Theatre in London where he was a control specialist and programmer. From the NT Tom became associate lighting designer for ‘One Man, Two Guvnors’ and for ‘War Horse’, recreating both internationally.
Tom’s lighting designs include ‘Untold Stories’ by Alan Bennett dir. Nick Hytner - Lyttelton Theatre and Duchess Theatre, ‘The Bacchai’ - Central School of Speech and Drama, ‘Get Happy’ by Told by an Idiot – Barbican and touring, ‘Doctor Faustus’ - Oxford Playhouse. Other professional lighting design credits include music design for ‘Savages’, ‘Jerry Springer: The Opera’ and ‘Troilus and Cressida’.
Tom is also experienced in event lighting has designed and worked on a variety of commercial projects
