A graduate of RPI’s architectural acoustics program with a background in architectural engineering, Phebe is driven by a sense of wonder about how physical acoustics intersect with human perception to support communication and community. Her research explores how the built environment shapes emotional and physiological responses, how public spaces influence health and well-being, and how geometric parameters optimize the performance of acoustic microabsorbers - connecting technical precision to meaningful, everyday human experience. Outside of work, she enjoys discovering new haunts in the Hudson Valley and listening to mother nature’s pure soundscape.
