If you were to establish your own venue, what would you call it? and what would that venue specialize in? Dance, live music, theatre…?
One of my biggest career goals is to work in a way that makes the arts more accessible. It is a loft goal, but a dream venue would serve as a community center, bringing those of us who wouldn’t typically have the opportunity to experience a high-end and high-tech performance space. I would call it “The Forum”.
What first sparked your love of theatre or performing arts?
When I was 10 years old, my mother (a highly accomplished seamstress) began making period-appropriate costumes for us to attend the New York Renaissance Faire. The actors there created such a magical and surreal place, it truly felt like being transported to another time and place. This sparked a deep love for storytelling and the shared experience of theatre.
