Jaz Sandalli

Jaz joined Charcoalblue in 2022 after working in technical theatre for 18 years, primarily as a Production Manager and most recently as Technical Director of the Young Vic Theatre in London.

Alongside a freelance production management career, Jaz worked at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith as Assistant Production Manager before moving to the Production Department at the National Theatre. Credits include Deputy Production Manager for the original tour of One Man, Two Guvnors and Production Manager for This House.

Following this Jaz moved to the Technical Operations department where she worked as Coordinator both for technical safety operations and for the capital project in the Olivier and Dorfman Theatres. Jaz then spent three years as Broadcast Production Manager for the National Theatre, delivering more than forty NT Live cinema broadcasts and associated pieces of filmed content.

In 2019 Jaz took over as Production Manager for the Young Vic Main House, including providing auditorium design for each production. She is proud to have worked on the interactive installation The Unforgotten celebrating Black British history, and to have managed the theatre’s first post-lockdown production directed by artistic director Kwame Kwei-Armah. Jaz took over as Technical Director in 2021 overseeing productions in three spaces and on digital platforms.
