Project summary

Working closely alongside Haworth Tompkins architects, Charcoalblue is designing a new Concert Hall and Studio Theatre for King Edward's Schools in Birmingham, as part of their new Performing Arts Centre. Other aspects of the building include a rehearsal studio, practice rooms and music rehearsal rooms. The centre will provide a resource for both the boys' and girls' schools.

As well as advising on the planning of the building and the performance spaces, Charcoalblue is designing the technical systems for the stagelighting, audiovisual, and stage engineering systems.
