Main Responsibilities To provide consultancy on all aspects of theatre design, specialising in the design of custom stagelighting and audiovisual systems for the performing arts. Qualifications Diploma in Technical Theatre from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Full Member of the Society of Theatre Consultants. Associate member of Association of British Theatre Technicians. Professional member of the Association of Lighting Designers. Experience Ten years in theatre consultancy including three years with Theatre Projects Consultants. Co-founder of Charcoalblue in 2004. Eleven years as theatre practitioner in lighting and sound, including seasons for the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre, and four years for Glyndebourne Festival Opera as Head of Sound. Lighting Design Lighting designer for Glyndebourne Touring Opera, productions of Makropulos Case (Janacek), Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and Pelleas & Melisande (Debussy). Redesigned the lighting for revivals of Makropulos Case in the Gran Theatre del Liceu, Barcelona (1999), Hamburg Staatsoper (2000), Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York (2001) and Deutsch Oper, Berlin (2004). For Pimlico Opera: Assassins (Sondheim) in March 2005. Assistant/associate to many lighting designers including; David Hersey, Jean Kalman, Mark Henderson, Robert Bryan, Wayne Dowdeswell, Thomas Webster and Pat Collins. Sound Design Head of Sound for Glyndebourne Festival Opera 1993-96. Sound designer for Glyndebourne Festival and Touring productions, including Owen Wingrave (Britten), The Second Mrs Kong (Birtwistle), La Clemenza di Tito (Mozart) and Peter Grimes (Britten). Resident sound designer for Phoenix Dance Company 1991-93.
