Main Responsibilities
To assist and provide project management and consultancy on all aspects of theatre design, specialising in the design of stage engineering and other technical systems.

Qualifications
BEng (Hons) Product Design Engineering, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Member of the Association of British Theatre Technicians

Experience
Two years as a Electrical/Electronic & Manufacturing Design Engineer for Caterpillar, specialising in component and control systems engineering.

Designing and production managing the stage management and art department aspects of productions including:
The Devils (John Whiting) at Ramshorn Theatre, Glasgow
Endgame (Samuel Beckett) at The Waterfront, Belfast
Pig Night (Snoo Wilson) at The Black Box, Belfast

Assistant artist for Lord Mayor’s Centenary Carnival, Belfast involved with designing and building the floats, costumes and artwork.

Assisting and organising exhibitions within Catalyst Arts Gallery, Belfast Theatre

Production/Technical Management
Assisting production, operational and maintenance teams, and liaison with designers and directors to create required effects for productions and design work.
Close liaison with control systems factory and manufacturing plants.

Project Management
Management of manufacturing rationalisation project for increased productivity and quality.

Consultancy work
Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon; National Theatre Studio, London; Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury; Theatre Royal, Brighton; Comedy Theatre, London.
