...a successful music venue gets a major facelift

Project summary

St Gregorys Church forms part of the campus of Canterbury Christchurch University and was converted a number of years ago for use as a music performance and rehearsal venue.

The current proposals involve the installation of completely new seating, technical systems and heating/cooling into the deconsecrated church, to provide a greatly improved performance and rehearsal space for the University.

Charcoalblue are advising the architects on the general planning of the seating as well as designing the theatrical technical systems - stagelighting, audiovisual and stage engineering - and providing electrical and mechanical design services through our sub-contractor ME Engineers.
