Main Responsibilities
To provide consultancy on all aspects of theatre design, specialising in the design of stage lighting and technical access systems.

Qualifications
BSc Electronics and German (Keele University).
MA Theatre Arts (Distinction) (Goldsmiths’ College, University of London).
Grade 8 violin.

Experience
Six years in theatre consultancy including six years with Arup.
Fifteen years as theatre practitioner - as lighting designer, production manager, & technical stage manager - including five years as production manager for Kneehigh Theatre.

Lighting Design
For Kneehigh Theatre: “Rapunzel” in London and New York, “Tristan & Yseult” outdoors at Restormel Castle and at the National Theatre, “The Wooden Frock”, “The Red Shoes”, “The Riot”.

Other lighting designs include “Uncle Vanya” (Belgrade Theatre Coventry & Arcola), “The Cradle will Rock”, “Reclining Nude with Black Stockings” and “Innocence” (Arcola), “Tales of the Country” (Pentabus), “Superstition Mountain” (o-region at Plymouth Theatre Royal); “Bay” and “The Shift” (Young Vic); “Spring Awakening” and “Send for Mr Plim” (Greenwich Studio Theatre Company at BAC).

Conferences
Speaker at ITEA Conference, London 2010; and Showlight, Glasgow 2009.

Publications
Contributions to “Automation in the Entertainment Industry” (Entertainment Technology Press, 2009); “Theatre Buildings: A Design Guide” (ABTT, 2010).

Teaching
