Peter Longman

Peter's career working in senior posts in the arts, crafts, museums and heritage sectors with responsibilities across the UK now spans 50 years. He ran the Arts Council's Housing the Arts Fund for nine years, overseeing its support for the creation of such venues as Manchester's Royal Exchange, Sheffield's Crucible, the Young Vic and Liverpool's Everyman, and refurbishments including that of the Bristol Old Vic. After five years as Deputy Director of the Crafts Council and eleven as the Government's Chief Adviser on museums and galleries he returned to the theatre as Director of The Theatres Trust. He has been a Non-Executive Board Member or Director of over twenty organisations, stepping down at the end of 2017 after twelve years with Charcoalblue.


His main role now is to provide assistance and advice on business development and Partnership management and structure.
