Main Responsibilities
To provide project management and consultancy on all aspects of theatre design, with special emphasis in project management and stage engineering for the performing arts.

Qualifications

HND in Stage Management and Technical Theatre - Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London.
NVQ in Television Studio Lighting - BBC Resources Training.
Level 3 Managing H&S in the Workplace - CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health).
Working at Height & Aerial Rescue – Total Training.

Experience

Jon has worked in the theatre for many years, mainly as a Production Manager working for and helping to develop many well reputed companies and venues including: Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, London; The Abbey Theatre, Dublin; Bill Kenwright Ltd and the Royal Opera House, London. He was also Technical Line Manager for Theatre Royal, Windsor responsible for development.

He has worked on numerous forms of productions all over the world, including outdoor spectaculars in Dubai, world premieres of new writing in Dublin & London, as well as many UK Tours and West End Transfers, including triple Olivier award winning “Hello Dolly” at Regent’s Park; Sam Shepherds “Kicking a Dead Horse” (world premiere) Dublin and subsequent transfer to London, and Peter Hall’s The Vortex (West End).

Prior to joining Charcoalblue Jon was working for Terry Murphy Scenery - one of the most prolific scenic workshops in the UK - where he project managed a number of largescale international productions including Love Never Dies, Hair, and The Lion King (Hamburg).
